What we collect, and only because you typed it

The enquiry form asks for your name, your business, your email, your phone number and a message. The booking page asks for the same, plus the call length and time you pick. Every field is your choice, except an email or phone number so we can reply, and an email for a booking so we can send the invite.

Nothing else. This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising pixels, so there is no cookie banner. We do not buy contact lists.

Please leave out of any form here: banking details, ID or passport numbers, anything about anyone's health, and your own customers' or staff members' personal details.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and to arrange the call you asked for. That is the whole purpose. We rely on this being needed to do what you asked us to do (POPIA section 11). If you later become a client, the agreement we sign covers the work we do together.

Some of these process information outside South Africa. POPIA (section 72) allows this where it is needed to do what you asked for, and that is the basis we rely on. We share the minimum needed, and we never sell or rent your information.

What we don't do

We don't add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry. We don't use your business as a public example without asking you first.

How long we keep it

Until your enquiry or call has been dealt with, unless it becomes a client relationship, plus anything we have to keep for tax or legal reasons. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.

Your rights

Under POPIA you can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to us using it, and object to direct marketing at any time. Email sales@uniongroup.co.za and say what you need; no special wording is required.

If you're not happy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Changes

We'll update this page when the site or what it collects changes, and change the date at the top.
